HELP!!!!

Roogan started this conversation

My son is going to Southeast Lineman Training Center in Georgia in May of 2011.  The school says that they to not get federal funding.   The tuition is $11,000.  Is there any type of grants we can apply for out there to help with his tuition.

Thank you for the information.  I guess student loans are going to be the only way.  I was hoping for some grants.  Oh well what we do for our kids.

Roogan-

Student loans are available through Salle-Mae and the Southeast Lineman Training Center website has step by step instructions on just how to apply for financial aid. As this school offers job placement, there shouldn't be any issue about re-paying the student loan. Your son may need a co-signer so make sure to have someone with a good credit score, unless they state it can be parents only. I'm sure he'll get the loan though. Call the school though and speak with their financial aid advisors face to face to understand the materials needed.

Namaste-
